To want two?...Been thinking about buying a 1200GSA, but keeping my 1150GSA. Does that sound daft? Are the two that different or will it feel the same. I suppose the best thing would be to go test ride a 1200. Thinking aloud I guess.

I like having two bikes as it means I can work on one while still riding the other. However, my bikes are very different from each other and give me a very different riding experience which is the other reason I like having both. I doubt I would be quite so happy if they both gave me the same riding experience but it's your choice at the end of the day.

YEP that sounds like a plan to me buy one of the twincam 1200gsa then it will not be long till the auld 1150 clanker will be of down the road to pastures new:D

I'm with you on that Cav. I have an 1100 and a 1200. Couldn't bear to part with the old 'un.

The 1200 feels like a modern bike; lighter, faster, less agricultural - more rort & less pobble. And it doesn't feel like it was carved from a billet of pig iron like the 1100.

The 1100 feels a bit like riding a classic bike in this era of Canbusificated twin-cam 1200s, yet it still does the touring and twisties just as well as it ever did. And with every 3rd bike on the road seemingly being a 1200GS these days, the 1100s and 1150s (and 850s :beerjug:) have a dash of old-skool class too I think.
