Is it really the battery?

Chargers

If you have the (expensive) BMW charger you can simply plug it into the socket and off it goes; however on this GS you can actually get at the battery - thus you can remove the saddle, clip the 'ordinary' much cheaper Optimate crocodiles onto the terminals and that is it!

RANT

My bike is a 54 plate and it hasn't been used a lot for various health reasons only 12,700miles. It was in for a 1200 service today where the battery was changed as it has become a little sluggish. 4+years is not a bad lifespan in anybody's books.
If you read the threads on this site and listen to all the negative comments regarding every aspect of the GS you would never buy one. These bikes are obviously a load of c**p and should be removed from the road immediatly.
