is mine the only one

Found it :thumby:

What your hearing is a small sound bite.

There is a disc in your owners manual which has a full version of chapter and verse.

ride enhancing stuff :nenau

GS1200LC ride enhancing stuff :D:D Ride your dream

Well done! cool sounds :D

Actually the low level buzzing comes from around the injectors as if they are 'fizzing' and ready for action :) the tick-tick-tick comes from much deeper inside the bowels of the machine and is still a great mystery :D

sory jonnyp no prizes but if i can help you out in the future i most certanly will, thanks again ps will mention it to my dealers and see if anything can be done about it.

My guess is it's just simply fuel pressure and as I think the Engineer said, all you will get told is "they all do that!"

May be worth lifting the centre panel that covers the tank and just checking the vet pipes are not squashed. There are two.

I took mine off the day after I got it, firstly to re-route my sat nav cables and to remove the 70mm fuel filler extension (that's shown in the owners manual) - not sure if any one else has done this yet but I estimate you'll get 1.2 - 1.5 Ltrs more in the tank (I drilled the one on my old GS and measured the fuel, from
bone dry - 23 ltrs in a supposed 20 ltr tank!).

If you do remove the extension use a bit of common sense and never fill it to the brim just before you're about to park it up!!!

There is also a small relief valve in the base of the fuel filler (no3) in this image. Check the gasket (no2)is in the correct place and not blocking it...
