Is the GSA the best bike?

This is the Wind Rider. You get the pair if needed for the pillion too.
It’s definitely more comfy and the air gets through too. Water runs through.

You will notice sitting just a bit higher too. I’m on tallest seat position and just tip toes on the ground with it. Also put my screen up a notch or two to suit raised seating position.

You still feel connected to the bike unlike say the Air Hawk things which I didn’t like one bit. Never tried a sheepskin mind.

Did you have too much Air in your Airhawk? Needs to be 99% flat then the air that’s left gives you a great ride

Don't remember bud. It wasn't for me at all, so gave it away I think.

Our bikes are hard to beat Hartley. What's this route then? I like Northumberland.
Was brilliant Mark, was a real mix of all sorts, even the couple arrow straight roads were undulating so still interesting.
Is roughly based it on the official route but missed out the gravel section in Kielder one of our number was on a Tracer. What that did was give us time on a lovely stretch of tarmac road in the Forest.
The total route was 266 miles, we left our accommodation at 9 and didn’t get back til 6 at night.

Wind Rider has been on my radar for a while now and would be a permanent fixture unlike the Airhawk which only goes on my Euro tours, works great for 1000 mile straight runs, but for those random spins up Scotland or over to Wales always catches me out with a granite arse 😬

I’ve just put a Cool Cover on my GSA. It was recommended to me by Rob at Rider’s Rest, so thought I’d give one a go. It’s an odd looking thing but is easily fitted, and it’s actually quite hard to see how it’d make the seat more comfortable, but wow.. what a difference! Seat for me is set high at the front and low at the back… it seems to keep me more level instead of tipping me towards the tank.

Just back from > 1,900 miles over 5 days on the GSA.

490 miles per day on days 1 & 5 with a mixture of weathers, roads, speeds & obstacles over each day. The GSA was faultless in every aspect and keeps up with the racier stuff when it needs to, whilst day long comfort & protection is taken for granted.

Is this the best bike around today... A question we asked ourselves over a few beers whilst admiring the RS Multistrada & M1000XR pics..

There will come a time when the 1300 GSA is the natural progression I guess & I hope it's as good as this!

Lots of tales of woe and technical challenges, but they are the minority I hope - let's have some good news posts. Now to go clean the bugs & shite off..

Could've swore you were traveling at warp speed then for a moment.

I’ve just bought a cool cover for my NT. it looks well made
I’ve never tried one before but I’m doing 500 miles on Saturday down to Piney, near Troyes. That should give me time to assess it

I’d consider a cool cover or similar after the Northumberland run, my only discomfort was my arse probably due to the heat, felt like my seating heating was on all day.
Only issue is I really don’t want any added height.

I rode to Bristol & back then on to Cambridge Friday/Saturday in properly biblical rain so a good 350 ish miles. The Wind Rider does make wet & warm air riding more comfortable as you either get air flow around your knackers or good irrigation!!

If you're over my way you're welcome to try mine. It does for sure increase the seat height a little which for me is fine.

Getting the seat on is a bit of a faff. but it goes on eventually.

..doesn't help the flamin' wind noise on the GSA though - might have to try the new 13RT for that....
