I'm up for a meet to. Looks like someone needs to take the reins, make a date and pick a venue

I'd be up for an occasional gathering if there is still interest. Used to meet up down the Cottage in Bristol every Thursday with mates on bikes but this died off and now its just a group of friends with their spouses in their cars and me on my GSA.
Peace, out. x

- and obviously share a pint with you lot.Hiya
Is there anyone around for a meet up? I Work/Live in Bristol and have just got a 1150GS. I Absolutely love the bike but would love to meet up with some other GSers to see if the noises its producing are normal- and obviously share a pint with you lot.
When you say the Cottage do you mean the pub just along from the SS Great Britain or have I got that wrong? I can make any evening really - let us know if something is going on

Aye that's the boy. Gets quite busy in the summer with lots of booze-cruises coming from the centre (you can see them coming tho so its easy to get ahead of them at the bar). Quietens down as it gets cooler and nice to sit out by the splishy-splashy water and watch Canoe'ists tumble into the wet-stuff. Its an option but for those outside of Bristol it can be a pain as quite central.
Peace, out. x
Ok, anyone prepared to start this ball rolling again - Cottage sounds like it may have atmos?

Thursday 19 March at The Cottage about 7:30 then, lets see who turns up.![]()
I think I might just be free that night Neavey - that's 2 of us - anyone else?
Just got a pass from the boss so I'll be there. See you next week
Why an evening meet? What about a regular day ride from the area on a weekend? Sunday good for a ride out and just a meeting point eg Aust services and a potter from there once a month. Problem with a pub meeT...you cannot have a pint if riding really, often a long way to go for a short chat in a sometimes crowded venue, if it's a good evening - riding is better than sitting down if you have been indoors all week and that's what bikes are for...riding. We seem to have lost the ability to just announce a meeting point, have a great ride and be back for a reasonable time on a weekend day. Gone are the days of the informal , great weather- fancy a ride and then 10 or so people show up and have a great day out. Too much over organisation and the freedom/ spontaneity of past years has vanished. It's a shame really.
