Is This True???!!!

PM Steptoe, He'll send you pads (Ferodo Diamonds) for less than £20.00 :thumb2

DON'T wast your money on Genuine BMW OR EBC pads for the rear of the 1200's.

As has been said DIY is easily done. However changing the rear disc is difficult if you don't have a long '8mm shaft' Torx bit, because of limited space.

Don't bother fitting the EBC replacement disc either, it's worse that the BMW Genuine. Talk to Steptoe he should have some better ones. :thumb2

On the up side, you'll probably never need to change the front pads unless you cover more than 60'000mls. I've done 37'000 now and they're barely half worn.

As for servicing I'm with the others.

Val.

Definately a load of bollox. Done my pads many times without having to 'reset the computer'. Certainly not £99 for the parts either.

I'd like to hear what the labour charge is for adjusting the valves on one of those crappy Austrian V-twins, ha! :P

Brake pads are always expensive when they are branded dealer items. You should have seen my final Triumph service bill! :thedummy
