Is this unusual?

Picked up my brand new 800GS Saturday, rode 300 miles and had no problems whatsover. The chain didn't snap, the radiator hose didn't come off, nothing stopped working. Most posts seem to be negative. Thought I would post a positive!

Same thing happenned to me when i picked mine up... Im thinking of having someone check it over....

I suspect these working bikes have failed some quality check somewhere and will shortly be recalled.

yes mine was made on a Friday morning so is running well with no problems!

Don't worry, I've done 19,000 miles on mine now and still totally delighted with the 800GS

First chain went to 13,000 miles without a problem, changed for an impending long trip in the mountains, that chain did 6,000 miles before snapping, now on Heavy Duty DID

I'm thoroughly enjoying mine

Got my 800GS last Monday and I've done just under 600 miles without any mishap.

- unless you count the second my hart stopped as the front wheel stepped out while going round a corner....

Looking forward to being able to open her up after running in.
