Is ur bike put away for the winter yet ?

Ready and waiting in the garage for those crisp clear winter days when roads are good and dry ;) ..... OK doesn't get so much use, but not put into storage. A blast every couple of weeks keeps it/me happy :thumb2

Mines away Chris cleaned today in three minutes after a ride yesterday, tomorrow airport and then Bangkok.... see you in March

Not even considered - plenty of great biking days in the winter.

Winter might even be the best month of all for green laning. :thumb

I didn't buy a GS for it to spend months parked up - the only time its not used is when the snow makes the climb up the hill to my house too dicey. It will be used every day until the snow comes and then I'll review the situation day by day
Same here, if youve got all the right gear, you dont get cold, the roads arent that bad at the moment down south and like you enjoy those crispy dry days

Where I live riding in winter is not really an option. Driving a car is never a problem on winter tyres but with daytime temps. that can go down to -15c and roads cleared leaving a hard packed snow surface, riding anything on two wheels is no fun! Most people do as I do and hand back the number plate during the winter months. This saves the road tax over the winter.

That's the downside of being a biker here, the upside is the roads I ride all summer!

Mine is all wrapped up for the winter. Optimate on.

If a dry sunny day turns up though I'll be out and about

never lay up, off to rally this weekend in Grantham, next is start of Jan, then end of Jan one if Feb and so on.
Warm kit, heated grips, and winters a lovely time of year for riding.

still ride to work, ok not every day ;-)

Yep, warm(ish) garage. It would be in the house but I got a GPz1100 wedged on the door step once...

Is there a thread for pics of winter hacks?

Used all year round apart from snow & ice!! :D for ridin' not hidin' :D

Nope, not laid up.............Used all year round as long as i can get through the initial ice in the village.

Tonights ride home from work had a few squeaky bum moments in the slush and snow, but nothing too far out of line and the most i have ever used the rear brake which i never normally use :D

If whats on the floor outside now freezes i'll be fecked for the morning though :(

Same experience here, and same concern for the morning......

Fortunately I work with a GSer so if it's a big sheet of ice in the morning, he'll know not to expect me in early :)

Beautiful morning to ride to work in this morning......crispy clear, colours in the sky like rose petals, I was nice and toasty behind my shitbag and I apart from wider lines and only going for triple truck overtakes rather than the whole line of them as they come away from the ferry roundabouts, quite normal :thumb2

I re-acquainted myself with the subconscious skill of watching how people move their feet on the pavements to help indicate how icy the surfaces might be on the road as well :thumb2

Nope!

Still away on a trip on mine. Rain, snow, bring it on! :thumb2

Anyone know the number of a bike delivery/tow truck service in the North West?
:D

Mines in the shed all ACF'd up!

If it's a nice day or a nice night then i'll use it over the winter as long as there's no ice about!

Farm quadbikes always good to go though and to be honest the icier the better.........!
