Jujst got home from my commute from London, no rain so the roads were dry, as I pulled into the drive way my '04 12Gs just died .

The Indicators still work with the alarm and the dervo assist still whirs, etc, but the starter won't turn.

Anyone have any suggestions?????

I have only Had the bike for 3 weeks and it came with a full BMW AUB warranty, I will try to start it later, and then fone BMW Assist.

battery

isn't there a known software bug where by the bike dosen't charge the battery on the move?

Gear selection indicator perhaps. Try pulling in the clutch and then hitting the starter.

Probably sidestand switch/gear indicator related. As said, try the starter with the clutch lever pulled in and see if she spins over. If you ever select a gear with the sidestand down, the engine cuts out. Could also be your killswitch playing up, try some WD40 on it, some owners have reported problems with them. If you have no fuel gauge/temp in the LCD display its almost definitely the kill switch.

Thanks for the replies, sprayed liberally with Wd-40 and she fired up 1st time.
Will strip the switch down at the weekend.:thumb:clap:thumb::clap
