Forry's and my weekend looked set to being boring but its amazing how one distress phone call can change all that.
Late saturday evening the phone rings and its a client of mine who is doing a mammoth horse ride from St Davids (S Wales) to home (N wales) and she says her horse is not going well can i come and see what i can do to help the horse continue the journey. It had already completed 100 miles
es and they were at a place just south of Rheadr. My thoughts got going and wondered if EmmsyPoo and RobbieC were up for a visit after the horsey job?????
Rang Emmsy and the reply was NO, not about because they were meeting up with Louisdut and Nicky for a bit of fun offroading. I could hear Rob shouting in the back ground "the trails are GSable".......sorted

Loaded the GS with all my tools and off we set at 6am and arrived at horse job at 8am to a lovely cooked breakfast.....yum.
Then off to the horse to see if i could help. Unfortunately the horse couldnt continue but the client had a backup horse and with just one days riding missed, she could continue her journey.
So i trimmed another horse on the ride
and left them to get going whilst we headed off to the destination where we met the offroaders.

), drinks and nibbles and we head off.
. Yep, i was right, they annouced that the famous bombhole was next. Robbie went first and as he came uphill out of bombhole, did a wobble that got me thinking "if i did that on my GS i'd end up down the steep slope under bike with an added injury to the list" ( so far people have broken wrists, legs, collar bones and shoulders?!?). So I borrowed Nicky's CRM230 and rode it on that to see if i could do it on my gs. I decided Forry could ride it for me
. Fag in mouth, no helmet and as cool as a cucumber Mr Superduper made it look like a walk in the park

..but the thought of getting my bike gear on in this current climate has me reaching for the fridge door to get a beer out.
