Couldn't get the lawnmower started today so decided to clean my bike and see what was under the ACF50 and yes the dreaded corrosion has finally arrived and made itself at home on my 10 plate GSA.
The powder coat around the pivot bearing on the FD unit has blistered up and white corrosion spots have come through - Still the bike has been used all winter but saying that I had a new XT660 the other year that was used just as much and the finish was fine.
There I was reading all the posts about rusty bikes - feeling all smug - still never mind can't wrap them in cotton wool and leave them festering in the garage all winter can you - if I was going to do that I would have bought a Harley!!! :thumb2:thumb

Mine had a couple of tiny bits of rust on the crash bars, and on the top box rack. I've managed to get rid of them,.... for now :augie

Take it to your dealer. Complain about the corrosion. Get it replaced under warranty, it shouldn't happen.

My FD was replaced for the same problem 8 months ago.

I most certainly will - had this happen on an my old 1100 (it was 12 years old ) and when the corrosion gets going under the paint/powdercoat it really does lift off large pieces of the topcoat in a very short space of time.
We'll see what the response is. :beerjug:

I've got a 2010 GSA and its smothered in ACF50, any signs like that and I'm straight back to the stealer.
