ITS HERE S1000XR

If you mean serious off-roading, as opposed to just green-laning, I've got a nice KTM EXC200 that could be yours for a very reasonable sum, sitting in my garage. :augie

I don't think my back could cope with serious off-roading, so some easy tracks/ fire roads is about my limit.:comfort:D

My XR is scheduled to be built week 25 with delivery week 27. My dealer is organising XR launch on 20th June and they said that they might have bikes earlier so I could have a go on one before taking delivery.

Another video, this time with very good close up views showing details of XR plastics...

Reason as to why your dealer may have a bike earlier is because the motorrad launch for the dealers is happening this month in scotland and scotland demo retail launch is May and ours is june, not sure why it's a month from the Scottish launch tho !

flying on Monday to Dundee from work. I guess this Scottish launch is not that early, is it?

You gate crashing the BMW knees up !

I was told my dealer is riding the bike back from Scotland but it's still not going to be seen until 18th june.

Be great to hear your thoughts once you have seen the finished product

Essential viewing.... first bit is boring, but wait for the sensible test ride..]

I thinks you may have got your wires crossed, the sensible test ride is on the s1000rr, riding like that eventually leads to one outcome

Take a look at this

If there is any doubt about the bikes torque or performance then this answers those doubters.

The noise is.......barking mad for a standard can.

The ride in 6th at the end of the vid reveals remarkable torque and smoothness

I agree with you,the bike sounds fantastic and seems on the money.

Let's hope they have ditched the self-corroding paint which they have used on all other new models in the last few years.

Apparently, they are proud of the self corroding paint........must be as they keep using it. At least on the XR it will be fast SCP.

Sounds great but very Rev happy as I would expect of an inline 4, I am going to take one for a spin but think I prefer the power delivery and characteristics of a twin, time will tell.

Vines are getting their demo bike at the end of this week, so I'm hoping to get a ride on one next weekend. They have a couple of cancelled orders as well.:augie

I am booked on Saturday on XR - 12 o'clock!!! I hope it meets my expectations :)
