I'll wait until after launch, and a test ride, before making a decision on one. But only once I can get a discount.

Not sure how long you will have to wait to get a discount, end of jan and Pidcocks have 3 of the 20+ Xr bikes they have been allocated for 2015.

I'm sure you will get a discount on shop floor stock, but pre orders may be difficult this year if it sells out quick.

If they get the cosmetic bits right it should be one cracking bike, plus many aspects of the bike have already been tried and tested in various other models, so hopefully this will be problematic free..

so I just came back from MCN show...Ducati must be laughing...BMW didn't present their XR bike at show! I asked one of BMW chaps and he said that they couldn't get hold of them....I guess the truth is that they were not quite ready to show yet...I think they might have learnt the lesson from NEC...

mid july for the Dealerships to have these in …and I'm not holding my breath…..i am most certainly going to ride the Demo too but will hold out till all the mad rush is over if I want to order one

Are they taking a piss? Anyway they should ditch this rubbery finish near fuel flap. It looked really bad. Make it flat like on other bikes in their range! Clutch lever adjustment should be available on 12k+ bike as well and few other bits...

Those are probably things that are delaying the launch

Shoulda bought an SMT when I went for my second BoxerCup........

Not tried a KTM, but I want something with a bit more "go" on the fast roads than the Twincam Adventure I have just now...............

Intrigued by the new BMW XR, and am sure I would enjoy it........... but can't ignore that the KTM is a great bike.

I see there are now videos posted on the net of UK dealer staff riding the bike in the Algarve. Balderstones Facebook site has a link.

The bike is nippy.....as in quick.

Looking at that again....I wonder if it is an XR...the screen look small and no hand guards but they may be extra?

When I called into the dealer yesterday to amend my order (low seat) i was told my order has gone to the factory now and the allocated delivery at the dealer will be between july27-aug2 .
