SWMBO and I both have ipods. We both have our own log ins on the PC and therefore our own separate itunes librariies The thing is she has some cool trackt that i dont have BUT try as I might I can't seem to copy the files from her folder into one of mine.

I have tried just copying the track itself - Didnt work

I tried copying the album folder - Didnt work either :(

It appears to be copying them to the destination folder as a pop up apears briefly showing files being copied BUT when I go into my log in and look for the folders/files they are not there.

Are the files set up deliberately so you can't do this due to some anti-piracy type bollox.

The itunes files will be stored in your music folders. If you move your itunes folders into the shared directory (as opposed to your individual directories) you should be able to access each others tunes. You'll also need to change the default of itunes so that it looks at the shared directory as its source area rather than your personal music directory.

I haven't done this myself (we both use the same directories rather than having our own separate accounts) but I'd be pretty sure this will be the issue (sorry if it's not!).

Junk it and get media monkey - it'll find EVERY tune/sound you have on your pc.

I had mine set up on random and after a song had finished nearly jumped out of my skin when some kraut started shouting "Acthung!" and started firing a machine gun...................

It had found the sound files used in Medal of Honor :o

(which make for cracking ringtones/message alerts :D)
