iTunes question

Hi all,
I have an iPod and so have lots of music stored in iTunes. I have recently bought an Android phone. Is there a quick way to upload music to my phone using iTunes, or will I have to upload everything again?

No replies from any tech experts yet, so I hope this may be useful

I recently upgraded from an old fashioned 'brick' to a Samsung android phone. It already had 'Samsung Kies' loaded on it. When also installed on my laptop, all I had to do was connect phone/ laptop by USB cable and synch them. I could select what music I wished transferred from my iTunes account. Simple to do even for a dinosaur like myself. Can be done wirelessly if you desire.

I doubt iTunes will act as a client for an Android phone but you can try.

It also depends on what format the music files are saved under as to whether or not they will work on your new phone.

Probably a 3rd party software solution on the web somewhere to manage your music library and free you from iTunes mafia-like control of your files.

You don't say what your 'main' computer is Windows or Mac...

Assuming Windows, this is how I do it. i have both Windows Media Player and iTunes on the PC - everything in iTunes gets copied automatically into Media player; I didn't set it up that way it just happens - if not you can just ask media player to find audio files. Once your music is in Media player attach your phone via USB and Windows will ask what you want to do with it (ooh-er missus ) select the 'sync/load music using Media Player' option - or whatever it says (can't remember the exact wording) - and follow the instructions. i.e. select the 'sync' tab and drag the albums/tracks you want on your phone into the 'sync list' on the right-hand side of the screen, then click 'sync'.

If you have a Mac - I haven't got a bloody clue.
