Would the last person to do this and found the 'bits' in-a-safe-place 6 months later :blast please assist.
- as i am sure Smudger will do when HE finds HIS lost bits in 6 months time, in-a-safe-place. :D
Come on guys! :rob

Thanks Og,

I know i will find these bits, i am sitting here racking my brains (wont take long) trying to remember what i did with them, on my 2nd large San Miguel, dont know if its helping or not......

Just thought of something, I removed the exhaust heat shields at the same time, The small screws for those are missing as well....

There is a box i am not finding.......;)

Probably not daft expensive from BWM although just as they land the others will be sitting on the bench. Maybe you have a family of borrowers under the floorboards :comfort

Don't worry they're not lost..... they will be in that safe place with all the other bits you can't find :thumb

I can't offer any help in any way, shape or form BUT I love the title of this thread.
Straight to the point & no messing 10/10 :D

Absolutely pointless looking for them.

Einsteins theory of lostivity - You won't find anything you've lost until you've bought replacements.

I KNOW!!!

WTF is it about lost bits?

I plan to turn the garage upside down tomorrow.....

Best chance of finding them, don't look for them!

The Pixies are looking after the bits!

Either that or you have "occupational blindness" looking at them bits but not seeing them (registering).

Ask the Pixies to put the bits and pieces back and go and have a cup of tea. They'll be sitting in front of you when you return to the workplace!

Sounds weird - but it works for me and others. (see Fortean Times).

Pretend to raise an order for them, then cancel it, that way the parts think its ok to come out of hiding!!
Worked for me.... well that and the voices in my head arguing about where i put them
:D :D:blast

Congratulations, you're now ready to move up to a 1200:blast:D

Have a look in the kitchen oddments/junk drawer - thats where all my 'lost' bits always end up - put there by the one who insists on keeping the house like a bloody 'show-home'.

Ask the lady of the house they know where everything is :blagblah

You have my sympathy but I agree - start by interrogating the missus.

I have 'lost' a number of items over the years, including many bike-related items, and I have long suspected that my wife's favourite pasttime is hiding my things - or even worse, throwing them away.

When I challenge her she always denies any responsibility but on one occasion I did eventually recover a missing item from the bin!

Only this morning I went to put the phone on charge - as I do every other morning - and the charger has gone missing (from the kitchen wall where it always lives). Of course my wife has denied all knowledge of its whereabouts.

In fact, her latest thing is to accuse me of fabricating these 'lost item' incidents so as to make her think she's losing her marbles. I can't win!

I wish you luck.

Andy.
