I've got a short one

Came to fit my shiny new (2nd hand) speedo cable on the 1150GSA today, found it won't reach

Measured up against the old one and it's about 5cm shorter. The part number is the same but I wonder if there are there different spec cables for GS/GSA?

Also, wacked some Ohlins on recently and I realise now that the extra height must have stressed the cable against the ABS sensor causing the original failure Now I am really starting to worry about my length...

Is yours a GS or GSA.

GSA Ohlins shouldn't raise a GSA any higher than std GSA
My STD GS fitted with taller GSA shocks has not stressed the speedo cable in 5 years of use.
Don't know if the cable part number GS v GSA is the same?

It's a GSA. Certainly feels taller with the Ohlins, but could be just because the stock shocks were knackered

Anyway, got the measuring tape out and seems its 4cm shorter than spec (100 vs 104cm). Will return for replacement

my ohlins are taller than the standard suspension on my gsa, standard had only done 10,000 miles

GS and GSA have the same cable.
