I'm in the market for a new jacket and would like some recommendations.

Here's my list of rquirements:-

Budget Upto £350
Enduro / Rallye Style - Colour got to be black
Waterproof
Spring / Summer / Autumn use only

Come on Folks, tell me what's good and works for you.

Cheers

Andy

No question, the old style Hein Gericke Tuareg. Try and find a minter and you'll have loads of change:thumb

I like the look of the BMW Trailguard jacket, Black, not too "in your face" and seems to have most of the features of the more expensive Rallye 3, I haven't seen too many of these jackets about so you may have some exclusivity too :augie
Ideal for Spring/summer/Autumn use it seems with the optional zip in Gore Tex Z liner (these can be picked up used on the forum or e-bay from time to time at reasonable a price) good luck with the search:thumb2
As Tim says the early Hein Gericke Tuareg jacket is an excellent piece of kit, I have one of these suits mine's a bit of a "trigger's broom" model, I've bought and sold jackets and trouser over the years to end up with a minter, hard to find a good one now, the only drawback with these suits is the Gore Tex liner is also quilted so you can be warm and dry but not cool and dry with the liner in place.

Agree about the liners, sometimes it's a good thing to keep you warm as well as dry, other times they can be too warm, especially the trousers.
It's possible to unpick some of the stiching and remove the quilting though:thumb
I've ended up now with two identical suits in great condition, for me there's nothing much out there for sensible money that compares but having to wear the liner in order to be waterproof is not to everyone's taste.
