I've had my Rukka for the past 5 yrs and 55,000 mile and its been ace BUT its bulky and hot in warm climates. I have a vented leather Hein Gericke jacket for summer but it aint waterproof.
I have recently found what IMHO is for me the perfect touring jacket . Its light weight and very comfortable to wear. Its 100% waterproof , vented for summmer and has some sort of phase change technology which does work . It can cope with a considerable range in temperature without the need for addding/removing layers. For example riding in a very warm valley and then riding up to 10,000+ and then back down = just keep your tshirt on. It does not come with a liner but throw a fleece on and then a heated vest and its perfect even for extreme cold .
The downside is if you look very carefully you will find a little BMW badge which in some people eyes will make you a BMW whore and it also means £££££££
Oh and the blue jacket makes you look a bit gay
Ladies and gentleman I give you the ;
