I've just bought and fitted a throttle lock from Jaws of Thetford. It cost £28 and is the d's b's. It's really well made, of a beautifully simple design and is easy to operate. It'll be perfect for my run down France tomorrow!
:)
All in all, highly recommended.

+ 1 they are fecking great :aidan

I happened to see one of these fitted to a mates bike. Have to say that apart from price, I don't see that they are better than the other makes available. The locking ring seems too difficult to use (with your throttle hand) as it doesn't have the nice chunky locking ring like the Kaoko/Wunderlich and others have. Trying my mates, I had to use my left hand to get it to work properly. Not really ideal IMO.

Well I used my jaws lock on my recent 2000 mile trip over Alps and back up autoroute and it was a piece of piss to use and worked faultlessly.

But if you want to pay 3 times the price for the Kaoko option, feel free.

I recently got one of 'Jaws' throttle lock, put it on in a matter of minutes.

Have done nearly 200 miles mainly motorways, I found it easy to use, just tighten enough to stop throttle moving on its own then adjust the revs/speed and it works a treat. Need to slow down or speed up just move the throttle.

I can recomend it and the price is fair.

I had looked at others on the market, their prices were far to high. You don't get anything extra for your money.

Thanks Jaws

+1

nice bloke that Jaws ( John)

fitted mine ages ago...brill (and if anyones following the VWF thread:rob)

I have noticed that it does tend to wind its self on over a period of time!! due to the vibrations and oscilliations of the bar.

beautifull piece of work to boot

thanks.

is it the Vista Cruse?

NO...

search for Jaws via search facility or e-mail him direct via his web site.
these locks he sells via this forum only i believe..they are not listed in his shop. You could always give him a ring and explain what you want and where you heard about etc and he'll sort you out pronto..

Never had that problem in the last 3k miles. You either need a washer under the lock to space it out slightly, like I did, or maybe you'd better find someone to balance the throttle bodies properly ;)
