Happy birthday John changed from standard exhaust to Remus revolution and K&N filter hope to get y piece shortly to rid myself of cat pretty sure you sent me stage 7 as an update for your original stage 4, trust stage 7 will cope with all mods without chip change, oh did 2000 mile trip Spain and Portugal this summer brilliant performance and fuel economy, changed to 98 octane even better around.

This afternoon I went for a 315km ride on my 2000 R1150GS with John Gemi Stage 8 chip.
I thought that the Stage 4 Chip was good, but Stage 8 is brilliant even smoother again and lots of power.
Cruising in top gear at 100km/h on 3000rpm.
This weekend I will do full tank to empty and see how many km I do.

Stage 7 chip for 2002 1150GS

Got my chip last week fitted quite easily, used the bike this week for work as usual not the best weather to test but the chip has transformed the bike, revs better, pulls and feels more refine. Let's see what it will do to the tank, usually does 180 so we will see but I am really please with the results so far

I'll be fitting stage 8 to my 2003 gs1150 in next week. Could anyone recommend a suitable product for resealing the motronic please? There seem to be a wide range of neutral cure silicone sealants costing from a couple of quid upwards. Would a general purpose NCS do the job?

64,000km on the clock

K&N Air filter
No catalytic converter, replaced with DanMoto 'Y' pipes.
OEM BMW muffler.
Iridium spark plugs.
98 Octane fuel.

Don't forget to reset the metronic after chip installation by;
Removing fuse #5 for 10 min. Re-install fuse, then with ignition 'ON' fully open and close throttle 3 times then start engine. It will take a few km to load the new maps.

Fitted stage 8 today. Definatly running smoother with noticeable power gain in 6th gear. Currently running with OE exhaust and cat. I think a Y piece may be a useful modification. Will monitor mpg etc over next few hundred miles.
