judder at low speed cornering

Hi I'm new to this so please bear with me!
I have a 2004 1150GSA that has a juddering feeling when cornering at low speed - left and right turns with clutch in and out. Is this just part of the shaft drive experience or might there be a prob with bearings etc.? It's only done 30k and has been regularly serviced...

There's a few things that'll cause this. But you don't mention if braking is involved or is it just as you roll around the corner?

So bearings are an obvious start (steering/headstock bearings, wheel bearings - front and rear, ball joint). But also tyres (type, wear, pressures > front and rear).

Sometimes what happens at the front is caused by something amiss at the rear and vice versa.

cheers for this! yep no braking involved - just rolling round a corner at low speed. Tyres are ok wear wise and pressures and it seems to handle fine at speed. I 've just put new rear brake pads in but other than that I don't overload it or do high miles.

A point worth noting us that the ADV is a little less precise in the tracking dept (not sure of your experience with this bike) compared to the GS and depending on how all the various components are behaving, this effect will be accentuated.

Based on what you say and it's happening in corners, I'd still hazard a guess at tyres, after that, steering bearings.

It's very hard to pin this sort of thing without seeing/riding the bike. Maybe others will come up with other, better suggestions
