Count Me In ?!

Hi Alan /Paul,
Hope there is room for one more, it has been a while since my work rota has allowed me to meet up with you guys.
I have checked with SWMBO and have the green light to attend this camp out. Please give me the heads up as to what time you are going to meet up and where. What do you think we will do for food, will it be a camp fire /BBQ or will it be a liquid supper? Let me know what I can bring.
I have been practising diving into the tent whilst seven sheets to the wind and nearly have it perfected.
Looking forward to meeting up once more.

Phil,Yep your in.
As long as you don't blow chunks :barf again in the morning. As it stands there are two possible campites depending on the weather. The route will be mostley B road with a couple of gravelsih off road type bits thrown in, just to get you keep you on your toes. There may be more opportunities to go exploring if we see a track or two enroute :tarka Food wise, not quite sure if it will be boil in the bag or BBQ TBC (weather dependant) We will need to dig a fire pit :camping so need a folding shovel type thing (BigAl reckons he has that covered) I will post again next soon, with a list of what is needed and for volunteers to take said items (spread the load etc)
Here is a piccie of one of the possible sites view.

Right lads. What to take.
The usual tent etc and a few things split between the bikes. (its pointless taking 6 stoves/kettles/pots and pans I think) So if you want to put your name down against the list that I have compiled so far that will be great, or anything else that comes to mind, feel free to add things( Bring you own falling in the tent water.

Folding Shovel
Food for the evening BBQ/ boil in the bag. Weather dependant
Wood to be gathered near site ..........Joint effort
Firelighters /kindling
Water plus carrier x2..x1 PW
Breakfast (bacon,saus rolls etc)........Allan (bacon/sausage/
Gas cooker x2 Spare gas
Pots and pans
kettle......................Jet Boil x1-PW
Tea /coffe/sugar/Milk .......................Allan
Tarps ........................Allan x2
I plan to buy the bread/milk closer to site, better than dragging it around Wales in the Sun/Rain :D

Supplies

Okiedokie,
I'll bring 1 X gas burner plus spare gas and some pots, but they are quite small. They are the 2 person size. I will bring firelighters too.

Not spoken to Al yet (down Marloes with Tom camping) but we got Coleman Sportsters with plenty spare fuel and pans which will hold 2l water easily.:thumb2

Might see you guys out and about as I am also having a wildcamp out with 2 mates that weekend. (Mid Wales somewhere, havent decided yet)

Your suggested (possible) campsite looks quite open to the elements (windy) and stoney who's taking the inflatable (bed):augie, How will you get your tent pegs in? Still the main thing is will you have enough :beerjug:

The photo doesn't show the bank behind where the sheep hide its not quite at the top of the hill (from BigAl) there is a clearing that looks ok and wasn't toooooo hard when I had a kick around.

I thought that you would post at some point:thumb2 hope all is well, when you getting Married then, and are you getting your haircut for the big day :eek::eek::eek::eek:

No problems there then! Always travel with folding shovel & folding fire box which is penty big enough to cook for 6 or so on, plenty of eco-fuel gel for fire starting plus maya sticks. Added to my usual paraphenalia I guess we could manage to feed the entire British Army.......:hide:aidan

10ltr water holder sorted, but please bring a reasonable amount of your own drinking water.

Any updates on plans?
