Just bought a Vstrom

Your new V Storm looks great. Think it might benefit a little with tinted screen though 🤔
Maybe cause I grew up with yellow RMs and PEs - I have a penchant for that colour.
Be a good bike for your big road trip 👍

Looks fabulous & sublime until the next fabulous & sublime bike appears.

I can only imagine his dinner table chat with wifey?! lol
………..sooooo, I was thinking about another bike?! 🤣
I’ve just bought a 3rd on the premise that it’s only a £60 rental for 2 years (Norton) and even then I’m still going to get a lot of shit when it arrives next month!!

Which will go first - the Voge or the Strom?

Suzuki have done a good job sorting out the fuelling on the 1050 by all accounts, The screen seems better too, but the design of the adjustment system, like many other bikes, remains ridiculous.

Very easy to adjust . Just flick a lever and pull up or down . Then restow lever . Hardly ridiculous.

Popped back to dealer today as left invoice for BMW service there .

Somebody mentioned the exhaust that came with the Vstrom to which I replied ‘ what exhaust ?’

Turns out previous owner , who I know , had fitted a GR Moto exhaust but had removed it and returned the bike to standard .

Said exhaust was located and handed over so I went home and fitted it after much faffing .

Looks much better and sounds good . Got a removable baffle too which might come out tomorrow 😜

So I quickly cancelled the order for the Fuel exhaust . Will see how I get on with this one . Never heard of GR Moto but it seems quite well made and sounds nice .

Can one not beg to differ @Arsey - if there is to be adjustability, then it should be available from the from the riders seat, preferably whilst in motion IMHO. This design just spoils the look to my eye, something of an afterthought, or the bean-counters at Hamamatsu maybe..

Whatever, I'm sure you will enjoy it, along with the farkling opportunities.

I take your point but I’ve never felt the need to fiddle with a screen mid ride . At least you don’t need to unbolt and reposition it like some bikes .

Minimal farkling required .

I’ve ordered UA heated grips , a Healtec Thunderbox and another Aoocci C6 Pro. And that’s it . For luggage I’m just going to use my large Enduristan roll bag I think .
Suzuki panniers are too expensive and don’t think I can be arsed with aftermarket ones .

Dear Mr Arsey.

Even though you buy more bikes each year, than I've ever owned, I have to admire your enthusiasm for each bike you acquire, to spend time and money, fettling it to within an inch of its life, no matter how long you keep it for. :D

Well done!

Took my wife’s BMW F800R in for a service today .
The dealer does Suzuki and Royal Enfield .
Anyway , they had a mint 6 month old Vstrom for sale with 650 miles on the clock and first service done .
So I took it as loan bike and so impressed that I’ve part exd the Himmy .

Place your bets !! 😜

I lied. Just ordered an SW Motech tank ring (I have their Micro and City WP bags already) plus a Dusc top box with fitting kit.

I could be wrong here, but I am going to give it a go....

Bores quickly.
Short attention span.
Needs to be at the mercy of the elements.
Intelligence allows all the above.

Seeks challenges.
Relishes change.
Many wives.
Rarely satisfied.
Seeks risk.

I reckon you would suit being a pilot. :D

I hope your wife enjoys her new ride, if she gets a look in...Does remind me of my DR Big.(y)

It would be lovely if it were not chain drive.
