Hi all,
Some may find this useful, I've got 17" cast alloys on my GS with BT 020/021 combination:

Hi, can you suggest tyre pressures for my 2000 BMW R1150GS motorcycle fitted with BT020 120/70 ZR 17 front and BT021 170/60 ZR 17 Rear tyres, for solo riding and when carrying a pillion, please. Thank you. Regards, Mick E

Dear Mick,

Thank you for your enquiry.

I can confirm that our recommended pressures for your motorcycle would be as follows,

Front – 36psi

Rear - 42psi

These pressures are recommend for both solo and pillion riding.

Kind regards,

Ian Holland

Thanks for that info as I have been trying to find out what the pressures should be for mine, although mine has a 180 rear tyre on a 5.5 rim. I have now changed to BT021's front and back and found the handling is even better (was good before) and I like to think I'm riding a giant supermoto! Hopefully the front tyre will wear more evenly than the old BT020 used to do i.e the side tread would wear quicker than the centre. The rear BT021 has done about 4000 miles and looks half worn, so not too bad.
Thanks again:)
