I just got back from Vancouer Island were I picked up my 1200.

It was going to be at least a six week wait to get one from a Vancouver (Lower Mainland) dealer. The guy on the Island had two on his floor.

Man the bike is more fun than I thought. It's been a few years since I have had bike (much too long) on the road. So, I am taking it easy for now. Still it's impossible not to drive fast. The handling is great. It feels like a four cylinder, it's so...smooth.

I looking forward to trying it on logging roads.

Health to enjoy your new mount. :beerjug:

I'm jealous. I spent a few weeks out your way last year and the riding is good!!! I'd love to bring my 12 over to BC next time I visit.

A quick burn up to Whistler...

Down to Mount Baker and ignore all the 'Motorcycle Danger' signs...

Up The Hope Valley and the Gorge...

Still Yorkshire is pretty fine too!

Enjoy

I am very envious ( yes even as a 1200GS owner). I was in North Van. last October at relatives ( apartments just by the Seabus) and we did Vancouver Island, Whistler and everywhere else obvious which made me want to do some biking over there.
You will get a great deal of enjoyment from the 1200, just take it easy and ride safe.
Stevo, (Scotland).
