I got my 1250 Rallye yesterday at 1.00pm and now have 360 miles on the clock.

I’m not new to LC’s I’ve had a few of them.

The mid-range grunt on this 1250 is awesome, and with such a lovely creamy smooth delivery I keep looking for a 7th gear, ‘cos it could certainly handle one.
The new Michelin Anakee Adventure tyres feel really good on the tarmac which is pleasantly surprising for such an open tread pattern.

It rattles just as bad as my 2018 GS 1200, but this new bike also has a ‘new’ sound a pinging kind of rattle which my dealer says is characteristic of the Shift cam mechanism.

Looking forward to getting it run in and first service done, then up to Scotland in a couple of weeks.

I’ll keep you posted on how I get on, however I’ve just read Mark Hooton’s Post re rattle and I’m just hoping that mine is as my dealer suggested ....a characteristic of the shift-cam?

I did over 300 miles on mine yesterday and think it's the best bike I've ever owned

Enjoy your new bike pal.Loving mine

Just picked up a 1250 on Saturday.
Absolutely love it.
It’s now run in ready for a service then heading to Romania for a full shake down.

Well PAL55, I hope you like it as much as Im enjoying mine, the 1250 motor is an awesome thing, with massive but very smooth mid-range drive.

Picked mine up yesterday, same as, loving it. Im not too happy with the tyre choice though, and will be changing to road pilots once I've had my moneys worth out of them!

Done just up over 1,000 miles on mine now and it is much smoother on gear changes, or I am at least. Best GS I have owned so far. No regrets about the upgrade from '14 model.

Mines going for its first service on Friday, the only thing that lets it down is the tyres. I will be fitting Roadtec 01s, which served me well on the 1200 GSA as soon as they are squared off or worn out, which after a jaunt round the alps might be the end of the month.

The gearbox is almost silent compared with the previous 1200s Ive owned. Im still undecided on refitting my old Yoshi, getting an Akrapovic or sticking with the standard.

Welcome to the club.. love my 1250gs exclusive..... now with Pilot road 5 tyres.

Ride safe

My new bike has the Anakees adventures which feel ok, unlike the old Anakee 3’s.

Today refitted lots of the Farkles from the out going 2018 bike, not all of them do fit.....the old machine art head covers don’t fit so have been replaced with the new xhead versions which look great and should have been made and fitted by BMW. OEM Engine bars also now a spare part which will soon appear in parts for sale.

Fitted the BMW spots from the old bike, this went quite well, you only need to remove the left hand tin (stainless) panel and the black abs panel that the tin panel fits onto. No need to strip out anything else. However the lamps still won’t operate until dealer computer tells bike ECU that I have fitted the new spots.

I also fitted my SW- Motech tank bag from the old bike but it doesn’t look quite right on this new trendy Rallye HP? Think I’ll have to stick with function over fashion for now.

Roadlock swopped.
Givi hand-guards swopped.
Machine art front and rear mudguard extensions fitted.
Looms added for heated gloves and vests.
TFT Screen protector fitted.
ACF 50 applied to the usual areas that suffer if ridden into winter.
Bar-back riser still to do....
Kept my old Comfort Seats, wasn’t sure about this....how do you guys get on with the OEM Seats?

I’ve swapped my Remus 8 across and it sounds fab.

Oddly it ‘pops’ on acceleration around 4.5k Revs which I think is an interrupter for the shift cam to move.

It’s loud too. No need to remove baffles or go for decat headers.

Love the bike. It’s my 4th GSA and so far my favourite.

Hi, I’ve just been asked if the Roadlock from my 1200 fitted my new 1250 with the new brakes?

Answer is yes, it swopped straight across with the same spacers that I had on my 1200 Brembo unit

+1. Did mine too and all okay.:)

Just been advised mine is delayed  could be another week before it gets here (already on a 6 week waiting list as it is).

Had my new GS1250 yesterday, looking forward to putting some miles on it over the weekend. The wait is worth it!!

made my day that has!..ive been bike shopping today and trying to justify trading my 1200 for a 1250 ;)

I was waiting an hour today before it decided to start not good for a 3 month old bike!
