After six years, my battery has finally given up the ghost. I've replaced it already, but a vague recollection from these fine pages reminds me there is a throttle position sensor reset of some description required - I've searched the site for the last hour, but can't find any posts related to this - can someone remind me of the procedure and if there is anything else that I need to do to 'reset' the bike after a total power failure?

Kind regards,
Finbarr.

Suppose the first question is whats wrong with it? If it runs fine and works you don't need to reset anything.

I was doing some electrical work on the 1150 last week, took the battery out. Other than reseting the clock didn't have to do anything and it ran sweet when I took it for a ride.

Don't worry about anything - All this three twists is a load of old bollox usually posted by those with all their mechanical knowledge gained off the internet.

Your bike will do any resetting automatically within 5 minutes of riding.

Blimey, there is less wrist turning and complications in the Masons !!

Fuse three...fuse five...brown this...red that...think I'll return to an airhead :D

Yebbut then you have to say prayers and sacrifice chickens etc if you want them to stop :D
