yup I just hit 10,000 miles which, I'm lead to believe, is just about run in.
A few of you will be shaking your collective heads in despair. A 2010 that's only just done 10,000 miles!!!! In my defense I only bought it 18 months ago and it only had 1,500 miles on it so 8,500 miles in Jersey which is only 40 square miles is not too bad eh. I do 'take it off the rock' twice a year and commute every day on it.
I Hope it stops burning so much oil now...............
I have just fitted a BMW Akrapovic end can and clocked up the 10,000th mile whilst having an afternoon run in the sunshine enjoying the crisp tone of the Akrapovic. I have noticed a rattle as the revs drop back to tick over when I rev it at a standstill. I'm certain there is nothing loose. Can anyone confirm if this is a 'feature' or could it be the flappy valve rattling that I never noticed with the standard can?
Any advice will be gratefully accepted.
