K2 - Kielder Sign-in thread

hi dib dob - retired my GS from off roading... wont be signing in on that one this year!

good luck! :D

I'm still fixing big bertha...

Im in :thumb Entred on my new 690r :D What bike are you using DollyRocket ?

Will be on my puddle jumper (525XC) as usual. Would be keen to see how you compare your old 950 to the 690R

(P.s. do you put them in your VW or trailer? I am thinking of getting a T4 to cart my bike around to events rather than b*ggering about with trailers.)

Took her out the other weekend and what a difference from the SE,

Lighter, More nimble and wheelies off the throttle no problem, one thing i did notice was the suspension didn't like small bumps, fine with the big stuff but small rocks and the bumpy stuff i felt a lot, like riding on a wash board.

I would put them in the van but my bikes have the bars so high (I'm 6'2") i have to roll the bars down and it gets to be a pain so i use the trailer, I also bring some mates along so we need the space in the back for them. to be fair i don't notice the trailer on the back with the 2.5tdi engine.

I am reworking the trailer at the moment to make it easyer to use this year.

Damn, would love to do this event but it clashes with my Airhead Weekend.

Suppose its not too late to put my event back a week to do this one.

Will have to check calendars and have a rethink.

Thats a shame Sid, I did it last year and it was a great weekend, perfectly suited to your big GS. It is however a part of the big bike rally challenge and there are other events in the series which I hope to do along with the Kielder.

Here you go. http://rallymoto.co.uk/content.php

You talked me into it:thumb2

Just signed up for it.:)

Hopefully will do all the rounds of the Big Bike Rally on my 1100GS this year plus the Dawn to Dusk in August. My bike might need a few modifications after last years D2D where the front wheel got stuck solid with mud under front mudguard. Even removing mudguard, there is still problem with front swinging arm being too close to tyre. I'll get it sorted.:)

Good news I wont have to worry about breakfast now,:thumb
I have put my name down to do the Sweet Lamb, Kielder and Ryedale events, seemingly the Ryedale is usually over subscribed so if you fancy that one, get in quick.

rydale regs open now!!!!!!!! be quick or dissapointed mm

Excuse my stupidity but I've clicked on the link to Rydale and there doesn't seem to be any online entry available? Can't even seem to find an entry form to fill in to post off to them?

Am I missing something obvious?

It appears I was too slow (nothing new there...). Entries all full.:(

Managed to enter MotoSprint in April and K2 in June but I've missed out on Ryedale.:( Bugger.

Your allowed to drop one round chap, That leaves you the Beacon Rally, Hafren Rally and the Cambrian Rally :thumb
