Hi guys What a fab bike this R1200gs is 1500 miles and its only 5weeks old Thats the way they should be used .. Any way
Want to fit a cruise control knurled nut (kaoko) Tried getting the bolt unscrewed on the end of the handle bars ,seems very reluctant to move then when it does it goes looser and then tighter .. Anticlockwise i presume but didnt want to bugger it up ..Any Advise welcome . thanks Steve

I've recently fitted a Kaoko myself. The barend bolt just screwed right out. I guess the inner core (?) is slipping within the 'bars. However, how you get round this.......:nenau

Not using much then - mine did that in a week - in November. Great bike.

If the inner core is slipping on bar end bolt, if its loose enough to slide a screwdriver blade under the head, lever it out while turning to keep the inner tight. If you can't get under the head you could try pulling it with moles = or get a dealer to do it. If the bolt won't come undone its a guarantee fault?

Finally dump the cruise control and fit a Cramp Buster. 10 seconds to fit, nothing to change, makes an amazing difference on long distance runs and the engine won't rev itself to bits it you do drop the bike.
