Hi guys /girls what's the best way of keeping the headers sparkel mine are not yet blueish but just getting golden and Iwan to keep them looking pristine any advise greatly appreciated

i have always polished my headers on my bikes ,but they were stainless steel which you can polish for ever with solvol and a battery drill with a buff on it , they come up better than new, my 2023 r 1250 rs has chrome plated exhausts so if i keep polishing them i will just were off the chrome ,i just keep mine clean and polish them with wax polish . .

Leave it in the garage, don’t ride it or use it for anything. After all it’s not like it’s a vehicle to be used for transporting you is it? Or, use whatever you use to polish your car exhaust pipe, it’s the same thing really.

Mine are chrome plated, I use auto metal polish, both T cut and autosolasol do similar versions of it as do Meguiars NXT. I get an old tea cloth and cut a strip off it, put some polish on the cloth then wrap the cloth around the header with the polish on the header side, grab both ends and do a see saw type movement applying tension to the cloth as I do so. There are other metal polishes about like Mother's Mag and aluminium polish, but some specifically exclude chrome so you need to find out what type of headers you've got and get the right polish for the job.
