The battery is a CR 2032 and widely available fairly.

The batteries are widely available, but I carry one just in case. Still, I’d like to know how you check what’s left of its power ?

On the tft when it gets to 50% or lower it will let you know! on the older bikes....dunno.

So it tells you when it needs changing, but you cannot check it yourself?

A battery low warning came came up on the dash of my 2017 (non-TFT) bike. At about 2 years old.
