My keyboard seems to be geting @ and " mudled up.
When I type @@@@@@@ I actually get """"""" and vice versa.
Any idea why?

Mike.

Think it to do with the language settings, you are on English (US) when it should be English (UK).

I can't for the life of me remember how to change it though.:(

*edit* found it...on another forum....

Right, assuming Windows XP, there are several things to check.
1. start/control panel/date-time-regional options/regional options
select English (UK)
select location (UK)
2. click on advanced and select English (UK)
On the task bar, there is a square "EN", Right-click this.
then click settings
select default input language English (UK)
3. In the installed services box, click the United Kingdom keyboard, and then OK, and restart your computer.
If there is not a UK keyboard option, you will have to click the ADD button to add it.

This last bit always catches people out.

So the question that you REALLY wanted to ask is the other way round then ;)

Andy,
Thanks for your reply.
I have XP
When I click start/ then date time/ I then get 2 options, time zone and internet time.
When I go to time zone, I have loads of zones to chose from, but my pc is already set to GMT/London.
I dont get a choice of English UK or location UK and therefore no further options.

Am I missing something?

Mike.

O.K just tried it on mine ....

Start, -Control Panel,- Date Time Language & Regional Options, -Change the Format of Numbers Dates & Times,

Under the Regional options tap set 'Standards & Formats' To English(United Kingdom).....That should do it (you may need to restart your Pc for it to take effect.
