Sorry, back to the thread.... yes get it. It is great to use, becomes second nature after a while. But you do have to use the key to remove the panniers and raise the seat
I know of someone who dropped the fob out of his pocket somewhere in France. As the bike had started it carried on running until he stopped for fuel 100 miles later and only after turning off discovered the loss. Needed BMW rescue.
