I'm now in Zakopane, Poland, I'm roasting and I've just ordered chicken soup, and a dunkel bier!
I had to go through passport control leave Romania and enter Hungary. Two EU countries!
Very strange!

My wife tells me that we're, presently, 8734 miles apart on our 20th anniversary (and she's got no phone signal!
I celebrated myself, with a chicken fillet(that's all you get), some chips (extra) and I blew £6.40 on a litre of weiss bier!
I know it was rash.

Sometimes breakfast is crap too but not today! After the photo I was brought a plate of scrambled egg. Good coffee too.

I'd second that emotion

A 7 hour ride today and I arrived in Ceske Budejovice just after a thunderstorm, I saw the lightening. After about 20 miles, and swinging through a pass it all came to a stop as the 3 trucks in front of me put on the hazards. I, obviously, went up the outside of them to a wrecked car across the middle of the road steaming and looking very mangled. Loads of people there and I managed to get past the back of it or I might still be there.

I've now found a bar with Budvar dark (temny in Czech) so I may well e here a while and eat and drink here too but no socialising!

Generally a lovely ride through mountain passes, gorges and plains.

Tomorrow to an old, all being well in Austria.

I've just ordered pork ribs (c/w cabbage) and Budvar temny pint no. 3.
Let's see what the food looks like tonight.
I think this place is going to be a 6 pinter, at least.
The, very nice, waitress likes bringing me dark beer it appears!

Don't go to the wrong Gmund! There is one just over the border from you; you want the other one, in Carpathia, towards Villach from where you are....

I knew that! I followed signs to C kurmalov then must gave missed the turn-off!
Oops.
Loads of bikes here as a busy destination for bikes.
Lovely riding day over the Austrian mountain passes.
