Kick start ignition module

Hi , I'm back working on my BM project after a wee break and am seeking some info from the Sages here .
I'm fitting a kick start box and believe I need the appropriate ignition module ?
What am I looking for , and how do I recognise it ?
Thanks in advance for any info anybody can offer .

If you want to use the kickstart you will need one otherwise you will never get it lit up, Motorworks sell them, item no ELA44477 on their website. £50 quid odd to you sir!

You definitely need the kick start module....and the kick start is firmly prodded down and not with a hefty kick !

It doesn't say wether its a kickstart version or not so I wouldnt bother. I did mention where you could get one in my earlier post.........

Hi Solidstate , I got you mixed up with Kenny .
I assumed , probably incorrectly , that as it was marked as suitable for both r80 and r100 GS models that it would be suitable for a kick start .
Fiscal prudence on my part won the day and it's not the end of the world if it doesn't work .

It is worth ploughing through Bobs/Snowbums site on that link - nothing beats getting it right and matching the module to the coil would seem to be vital.

And it corrects most of the posts you will ever see on modules, which are almost exclusivly stuff and nonsense------------. B
