This w/end we will be heading down to Killarney to stay in order to cycle around the ring of kerry.

Anyone have any good recommendations on places to eat and good bars???

We will be staying at a B&B on Rock Rd.

thanks

Hi Trev
Enjoy the ring but the weather is looking patchy for the weekend.
With regard to eating & bars Killarney is packed with em - I have no specific recommendations; you will be spoilt for choice. Leprechauns & shamrocks are best avoided as they attract loud mericans.

From past experience I can tell you where not to eat, the Chinese restaurant near the Brehon/Gleneagle hotel though the food in the next hotel after the Gleneagle heading out of the town is excellent :beerjug:

Earlier this year a group of us had an excellent meal at The Laurels on High Street, a bit expensive but really good.

If you like Italian grub, then Cucina Italiana is a must. Best Italian food I've eaten outside of Italy :thumb2 Not cheap, mind, but if you go early for the set price 3 course menu at 27 yoyos it's a great deal

Traditional Fish and Chips

Hi if yer not far from the muckross road I'd recomend "Victoria House Hotel Killarney" (a nice walk out of town or a wee taxi fare if you feel a bit lazy)
Realy nice food and easy to pay also the waitreses are A1. Fish and chips lasange or just Turky and ham all top class:clap

Thanks guys - all duly noted and waterproof packed too :beerjug:

Its pissing down on the end of the Beara so I guess it is on the RoK too... Get some mudgaurds fitted it,ll be a good investment.
If tomorrow is nice I am doing the Tim Healey pass with my bro...

We dont do mudguards as we are hard-core racers :D

Dingle with Conor pass planned on Sunday so fingers crossed.
