A friend (yes really!) of mine has had his 1150 stored in another friend's garage. It was linked up to a BMW trickle charger, but this proved to be faulty. Result = a battery so flat that even the clock has died!
Anyway, we hooked it up to an Optimate 3 which indicated by a red light that is was de-sulphured. After about 2 hours, the red light has now gone and the indication is that the battery is charging.
For those 'in the know',
1) What are the chances of getting the battery usable again?
2) If it does fully re-charge, is it likely to be reliable?
The battery in question is a Hawker Genesis which came with the bike when he bought it second hand last year.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered.
