As your discussing TKC's etc what are they like on very!! muddy tarmac roads, down here in the sticks I have plenty of them, me Tourances survive but do get a few hairy moments would the TKC be any better?

Stay with the Tourances on muddy tarmac.
it would like riding on ice with TKC's

TKC's are great on most off-road surfaces, however, they are not happy on anything other than dry tarmac.
