Landrover question...

cheers guys

Gotta love this site and the chaps on it :D

The landrover has ONLY done 50,000 miles, had the camchain replaced in the last 18 months, regularly serviced by Main LR dealer when owned by the current owner.

And it has been converted to 12v !!

Does this mean that the massive overcapacity alternator will have been replaced as well - I've read that the original one for the FFR could provide enough power for a small town, and costs about £1100 when it needs replacing.

And how do I tell when I go to do the deal on Saturday ?

cheers again

I've got a 24v ex-mil Volvo 6x6. Do not be put off by 24V the electrics are easy to work on, parts are cheaper than 12v (commercial) and last longer. If you are planning on getting properly muddy tehn 24v winches work much better and reliably than 12v ones.

24v alternators are the same price as normal ones. If you have a massively over specc'd one, I'd keep it!
