Requirements:

Full EU map support (eg autoroute)
Auto re-routing, or controllable via something like ViaVoice.
Speech output ("turn left etc")

Pref:

Can work with other maps like that for Morrocco.

Any ideas? So far I've got:

Autorroute 2006
Co-pilot (no longer made for EU?)

Sorry I only know a bit about Garmin stuff, but if you bought a Garmin GPS with City Select/Navigator software you could use this on your laptop with Garmin Nroute software which is free and is a full routing talking product. This way you get a standalone GPS and laptop mapping :thumb

note Nroute will only work with a Garmin GPS devise that outputs Garmin code.

Or you could buy a Garmin GPS18 this is a GPS unit/package that goes on your car roof and plugs in to your laptop to pass the data, on your laptop you run City Select/Navigator with Nroute software as above

Sorry, can’t help with morocco

Well done Snoopy! :clap
So If you can get a copy of say City Navigator with its unlock code, you could run it on a PC with a GPS mouse inputting the NMEA code

I'll leave you with news Azureus is downloading at this very moment!

I've not played with Garmin stuff before - no doubt the "unlock the map" bit will be the killer.

Also, nroute is looking for Navigator South Africa on install. I'm taking a guess it scans for any installed map. That could be a pain too.

iNavigator is only Europe and doesn't do Garman world maps etc. Just doesn't have the same quality.
