Any recommendations, not looking for the cheapest of the cheap - around 100€ a night is about right. Don’t need to be near the beach but would like to be near the touristy centre for restaurants, bars etc. Probably prefer a hotel but an appartment would be ok.

Me and Mrs Ted went there a few years back. It's really easy to just use booking.com. Stop two nights in each place. Keeps it interesting.

Las Palmas is "White trash" British bars, egg and chips etc. And quite built up.

The interior of Gran Canaria is really where the beauty and culture lies. To old style Spanish villages, pine forests and beautiful sun kissed Mountains.

But you need a car or bike to access it.

Thanks for the info. Bit the bullet this morning as when I looked at Booking in our budget it said 96% of places on their site were already booked for our dates. Managed to find an appartment with a ‘fabulous’ review that came in just under budget with the genius discount. Tried Trivago butwhat a waste of time that was.

Now to book a bike.

three of us there 15-19th Feb and we have booked gsx8tt, transalp and tracer 7 purely because none of us have ridden them before and we will have a different bike each day.

Canary Ride is perfect - tell Ondrej Barry Craig suggested you could get discount. (it'll get you 10% anyway).

we're trying hotel MG Poniente as it's close to the strip and Canary Ride.

stayed NH Imperial Playa in November, a nice airbnb (which is booked up) in feb and AC Hotel (big round tower) before that all of which are central and perfectly reasonable for a bike / couple trip.

Booked the Stelvio for a few days - the multistradas were booked up,

We’l be there 19-24th, staying up in Artenera.
I’ll be on a Guzzi Stelvio and Stevie4scoops on an NC750.

On the included list

✅ Phone holder with charger (USB and/or wireless)

I’ll take my Peak Design mount and a ram mount clamp which would be ideal but if it doesn’t fit I’m sure I’ll manage with what is provided.

Chas, all Canary Ride bikes are supplied with a wireless charging phone mount. I used MyRoute on my iphone using the provided mount on the Stelvio.

I remember now, but the NX500 that I rented just for one day last year had a knackered charger .

Hi Martin, how many routes / days are there in that? There is a central road that links to the Valley of Tears which has been closed for about a year - does your planning tool pick up on road closures?

Always amazes me that it can be c.15 degrees in the hills and then when you hit the south it’s always very warm.
