Any one fitted the new LC mirrors to the hexhead? Sure I read on here they fit and give bigger view but search no results. Ta

They fit ok Ted, I'm sure the LC mirrors are the same mirrors as an F800GS anyway. I had F800GS mirrors on my Twin Cam and they do give a slightly wider view.
Yes I've fitted my LC mirrors to my twin cam they just look nicer, they are the same mirror as fitted to the f8gs.

Ted, I don't even know what LC mirrors are but what's wrong with the OE mirrors on your GS? I was so pleased with the mirrors when I got mine ; I spent the previous 29 years without being able to see who was behind me on my old R100. Yeah I could see there was a car behind me but I didn't know who he was . On one occasion it was Old Bill and I got nicked for speeding but on the GS it works just fine: what more do you need?
Interestingly enough.....I bought a pair of non OEM threaded LC shaped mirrors to fit onto my 07 GSA 12 as I much prefer the look of them; however, it appears that the thread on the mirror isn't a true fit for the mirror mount socket......so I'm now on the hunt for a suitable pair of adaptors

That's the trouble with the ebay ones. For not much more, the OP should be able to pick up some second hand genuine 800 mirrors, with the right fitments

Well I shall hunt for some adaptors; I'll give MW a call on Monday as they are always very helpful.....

Agreed. I'd like to see a pic of them fitted and hear what you think after trying them.
I can see ok out of the originals, but the vibe can be a bit annoying.

OK...some pics of the mirrors fitted; I'm also going to buy a pair of F800GS mirror socket covers, as their shape/dimension better suit the new adapters than the originals (which you'll see are currently in situ).....
PS: quality of the pics isn't brilliant; the digi compact isn't very well......
