Nah.... our oldest GSer is 84 this year, and he still rides daily

Aren't motorbikes and their owners great! Slap on the back for us all, love it.
The passion that sustains and enriches our lives, the reason we ride and visit the many bike stops nation wide, where you are never without a friend or an opinion, long may it continue. I have purchased several bikes over the years, which I never thought too deeply about and became quite attached too, like many human relationships, namely an R1 (when having a deposit on the yet to be released K1200s) a Ducati Multi 1000 Ds with the Termi's and Olins kit when going to buy a KTM 900. Going for a ride with a friend on a day off mid-week to get his bike serviced he had a Harley (derogatory remarks I used to say about HD riders) rode away following week on a VRod. Went to USA could only get a Road King to hire, fell in love, px'ed the Rod for King on return. Saw a 1600GT carving passes as an escort bike to a bicycle race in France, came home had the GT experience, got married last year, and bought a 2012 GSA. Suits me fine, built for comfort, and reliability (hopefully) and knocks up a great curry.
If anyone is heading up the A5 this weekend to The Thundersprint give Fitzpatrick's Cafe a stop in Bethesda, has a Triton in the window, you'll be surprised, recommended, biker friendly, and makes a change from the well known Ponderosa. JL

Was planning a bimble round Snowdonia tomorrow with a stop in Llanberis Pete's Eats but think we'll call in here instead

Old enough to be bought up on proper motorbikes; not Fizzys, AP50s, SS50, Garellis etc - why the fu*k anyone rode those pieces of sh*t I will never know - 50's were a total embarrassment , had to ride my younger brother's AP50 back from the dealer for him, I was dreading any of my mates seeing me. Glad I am old enough to have avoided them
It was either that or peddle power and felt 'cool' at the time

Maybe the best is yet to come, have been studying the spy shots of the new LC especially the head on shots I have a feeling the spy shots are the new Adv not the standard bike. Just look at the top of the tank in the head on spy shots and compare that with the bike actually launched

Don't forget the manufacturers always try and disguise a bike when testing so that the actual official launch is a .. Ta Daa .. Oooooooo moment!
They can't disguise the bike by making it thinner, so they tape foam, bubble wrap, you name it, here and there to alter the prototype's general form and shape.

could not have put it better myself, and i can often be found in many museums cars, bus's, aircraft, bikes ect ect but whilst i can not walk past a gt750 or H2 kawasaki they belong to another time. when swmbo sees my ebay recent search (kh gt dt ts 1976 & 1977) she said "you can buy a 81 rd350lc but it will never be 1981 again" nail head hit. so thanks to the people who restore cb750's but no thanks.

It's a very deep place once inside, and it was only after a second visit (needing a roll-up) I realised it had a raised decked area out back with a very pleasant outlook, rugged Welsh river below, and far reaching mountain views.
There's a couple of Brit classic's just parked between the tables, with books and mags on tables to peruse with your refreshment, sweet. Btw keep em peeled for our Boy's in Blue who are sharpening their speed devices currently, word locally is a move this summer back to the bad old days of two wheel persecution. However, if you need a 100 mph rush legally, they've just opened the 3rd longest zip line in the world, provided you think £50 for a 70 second experience is worth it.
