I've been riding all through the bad weather
and since the really cold days I've had a problem with the LCD indicator either not showing any gear or showing the wrong gear. On a couple of occasions it has shown 1st or 2nd when the box was in neutral so I had to hold the clutch in to start the bike. Gearbox is working fine so its just a nuisance, but since the fault is intermittent I'm guessing its a bad connection.
I'm told it is likely to be to do with the gear selector switch somewhere on the back of the gearbox ... but the Haynes doesn't even mention it ... any ideas or pics would be great.
Also filing the petrol tank (GS) has to be done really slowly to get it full ... any tips. I've tried inserting the pump nozzle in all sorts of directions over the past year of ownership.
thanks
