Can anyone recommend a suspension guy near dublin that could rebuild a rear shock or is it best to buy new/second hand replacement?

There is a place on Kimmage road that do shocks Kev, it is beside where Redzone used to be.

R1200 GSA 2009

My rear suspension is leaking oil. Brought it to North Dublin motorcycles in Man O War. They told me that the BMW units are sealed and cannot be repaired. Is this correct.

Moto tech rebuilt my BMW airhead shock which was meant to be a sealed unit and unrepairable

Suspension

Spoke to Moto Tech. They don't do suspension repairs anymore. They send their work down to VMtech in Cork. Spoke to Paul there. He said he doesn't repair R1200gsa rear units and only sells new Wilber units. Anyone in the UK worth trying ?

Just spoke to a guy in Firefox Racing in the UK. He can rebuild a BMW rear suspension unit for £119.

mostt will cut them open and re weld them

if gone id go buy a basic line wilbers shock for around 300e

There's a company in Co Down who refurbs 1150 shocks. I expect they can help. Try a search in the 1150 forum. Otherwise, I can find his invoice
