Hi, I have recently replaced the indicators on my 04 GS for BMW led ones, They look better and are much brighter than the originals. This got me thinking about the rear light and if it is possible to upgrade to the newer BMW led version? Has anyone done this ? I have seen a rear light on ebay brand new BMW oem. Any help welcome.
Cheers Justin

I have fitted an aftermarket version to my 05 GS12 with no issues plus aftermarket LEC bulbs in the indicators

You can fit the later WBM LED light but you need an 'adaptor' cable to link it into the loom (or make your own) - Motorworks sell both sometimes have 2nd hand ones.

Just been on the Motoworks site and I cannot find them, When I changed my indicators I had to buy a kit so I assume it will be the same, I will give Williams a call tomorrow.

Done it to my 06 GSA works a threat, but the genuine adaptor loom costs £44 and once done you "may" have to have the bike linked up to GS911 so the ECU can "see" the change.

I'd say this is a good idea. I am really impressed with the rear light and indicators on my 13 GSA - all LED and uber bright which is a good thing!! It's amazing how tiny the indicators are for the light they throw out.

Just a shame the same thought didn't go into the flamin headlight!
