Led Rear Light.......

Hi All, I have a 2008 R1200GS with the LED rear light unit but as far as I am aware, it still has normal bulbs in for the number plate illumination. I just wondered if anyone had replaced these with LED and had any success/failures or issues with the self-check and "LampR" etc. If anyone could give me any advice, such as bulb type, canbus controlled etc? That would be great. Thanks in advance, Steve

If it is the oem led rear light, then judging by the number plate light colour and the fact that is a sealed unit with little room or access to fit a bulb.
I would be very surprised if the number plate lights were not led`s.
