As an aid to further conspicuity I really liked the idea of fitting some LEDs, but where, I thought of mounting them in the handguards, but they would be invisible when the handlebar muffs were on, ebay to the rescue, a nice chap from hong kong sent me these oblong 28led units for £10.30 the pair, currently I have them sharing my "How Much" lightbar with the FF50s, I have them wired to my sidelight circuit, I will take more pics at dusk.

Blue catheter lead in the first piccie.
first blue one i have seen ;)
old age :blast

Don't you mean cathODE? Or maybe you're just taking the p155?

No 'E' stamp..so I believe illegal

Cars and bikes drive around with illegal number plates, cars have blue side lights and use fogs all the time. All this and a lot more is illegal and nobody does anything about it so who cares if a couple of LED lights have no E mark.

More pics after dusk,

I thought you were referring to the cable for lights - Ash, if you think that's catheter sized, that is truly scary
